My first band to get on stage in the real world. A short lived high school mess, but a taste of blood.

This was what felt like my first major opportunity - acknowledgement from the outside world instead of something I had founded.
ED had some hype the year prior, and I was eager to get my career going. I didn't stop to think about why there were vacant spots in the lineup.
It turned out to be a lot of work for a lot of drama. They also rehearsed very far away from where I lived and it's obvious now it was unsustainable from the start.
It amounted to playing one show where I performed keyboards.
I met Shaz on MySpace, and coincidentally he happened to be the keyboardist for Reaping Havoc - a brother band to Phyrexia.
He wanted to try and play his solo (MySpace) stuff live, so I got onboard to play with him for a handful of shows that Summer.
I knew DA from playing with them in Phyrexia a handful of times. We booked them to headline, once.
I took the opportunity to drive 4 hours, audition and join them. However, the main guy didn't like my (admittedly, cheap) keyboard's sound.
So when I played my one and only show with them, I was turned down and basically told to mime.
I was also told I would need to buy my own plane ticket to the USA to play (mime) a single show. I declined and quit
